in an alpine area, between high pines and mountain paths, an existing cabin is renewed. the project reinterprets traditional forms of mountain houses, playing with the proportions and movement of their parts. central element of the house is the stone chimney, which becomes the fulcrum around which the spaces are twisting, restoring the dynamic form of the project. the proportions of the fireplace and the gutters have been alternated and become larger, acquiring a new architectural value that enhances building elements of the alpine tradition.
